Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has released the online application form for SSB Head Constable Recruitment 2023. The Online form filling process will be start from May/ June 2023. Online applications are invited for filling up the posts Head Constables (Electrician), Head Constable (Steward), Head Constable(Veterinary) and Head Constable(Mechanic), Head Constable (Communication) in Group-‘C’ Non-Gazetted (Combatised) in Sashastra Seema Bal, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The posts are temporary, but likely to continue. Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India or outside the territory of India and will be governed by SSB Act & Rules and other Rules amended from time to time.

Eligibility Details for SSB Head Constable Recruitment 2023:
Educational Qualification:
Head Constable (Electrician):
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- Two years work experience in respective trade; or
- One year certificate course from a recognised Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the respective trade; or
- Two years Diploma from a recognised Industrial Training Institute in the respective trade or similar trade; and
- Must qualify trade test.
Head Constable (Mechanic) only for male:
- Passed Matriculation from a recognised Board or equivalent.
- Passed the Diploma in automobile or motor mechanical engineering or two years certificate course in automobile or motor mechanical engineering from a Government recognised Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or equivalent.
- Possess valid Driving License for Heavy Vehicles.
- Desirable: Two years experience in an authorized garage or workshop.
HC(Steward):
- Matriculation from a recognised Board or Institution.
- Should have a Diploma or certificate in Catering Kitchen management from a reputed institute.
- One year experience in similar job in a reputed hotel.
Head Constable (Veterinary):
- Intermediate(10+2) examination pass with Science and Biology as main subject from a recognised Board/University; and
- Possess two years Diploma Course in Veterinary and Livestock Development or Veterinary Stock Assistant Course or Animal Husbandry Course from an institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government.
- Desirable: One year experience in treatment of different species of animals, in a recognised Veterinary Hospital.
Head Constable (Communication):
- Intermediate or equivalent passed in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board or University; or
- Should have a three years diploma in Electronics or Communications or Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognised Institute.
Nationality/ Citizenship: –
- For Head Constables (Electrician, Mechanic Veterinary and Communication):-
- A citizen of India and subject of Nepal and Bhutan.
- For Head Constable (Steward):-
- A citizen of India only.

Salary for SSB Head Constable Recruitment 2023 is Level- 4 (Rs.25,500 to Rs.81,100/-)
