UGC NET 2023 Educational Qualification:
- The educational qualification required to appear for the UGC NET exam is a Master’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university or educational institution. The minimum percentage required for general candidates is 55%, while for OBC-NCL and EWS candidates, it is 50%. SC/ST/PwD candidates need to score at least 50% in their Master’s degree.
- Candidates who are in the final year of their Master’s degree or equivalent can also apply for the UGC NET exam. However, such candidates must ensure that they have obtained their Master’s degree within two years from the date of the UGC NET result declaration. The NTA may also provide a relaxation of 5% in the minimum percentage required for such candidates.
- It is essential for candidates to ensure that they fulfill the educational qualification criteria before filling the UGC NET Application Form. Candidates who do not meet the educational qualification criteria will not be allowed to appear for the UGC NET exam.

UGC NET 2023 Exam Pattern
