Each candidate should have registered in the Apprenticeship portal of Government of India and should possess educational qualification as indicated in the table below:

ELIGIBILITY:

1. Candidates should have registered at the apprenticeship training portal. 

2. Candidates should possess educational qualification as indicated in the above Table-3 & 3A from recognized Institute. 

3. Candidate should have Physical fitness as per the Mines Rules 1955. 

4. The minimum age on 16/09/2023 should be 18 years for candidates of all categories. 

5. The maximum age on 16/09/2023 should be 25 years for candidates of General Category. Maximum Age Limit is relaxed by 5 years for candidates belonging to scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe and 3 years for Other Backward Class. 

6. Candidate should fulfill all provisions of the Apprentices Act 1961. 

7. Candidates should have an Aadhar Card. 

8. Candidates should have a valid Saving Bank Account number with the same details as mentioned in their educational certificate. 

9. Candidates should have domicile certificate. 

NON-ELIGIBILITY:-

Note: The Applicants

1. Who have undertaken any previous apprenticeship training as a part of the apprenticeship programme (Or) 

2. Who are undergoing presently Apprenticeship Training at any establishment.(Or) 

3. Who are undergoing any Regular Course of study as regular candidate from any Educational Institute. 

STIPEND (Salary):–

The Apprentice will be paid monthly consolidated stipend amount as per the Gazette notification of the Government of India under the Apprenticeship Act 1992 (amended). At present the rate of stipend is as follows:

PERIOD OF APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING:–

For ITI Trade Apprentices period of Apprenticeship Training shall be 12 months commencing from the date of the Contract of Apprenticeship: 

For Fresher Trade Apprentices period of Apprenticeship Training shall be, as specified in the Apprenticeship Rule. 

Note: It shall not be obligatory in the part of WCL to offer employment to any apprentice who has completed his/her apprenticeship, nor shall it be obligatory on the part of apprentice to accept employment from the WCL.

Selection Process:

Candidate shall have only one choice of establishment of WCL to apply in any one trade available in such establishment. Selection of Candidate in each trade shall be made by the concerned establishment separately. Scrutiny of applications, Document Verification, Medical Examination etc. shall be carried out or arranged by the concerned establishment only hence all communications in this regard shall be made by the concerned establishment only. Process of selection shall be as below: 

Candidates who are domicile of the district, where establishment is situated, shall be given first preference in each establishment during selection. Candidates from other district of concerned State shall be given second preference and candidates outside concerned state shall be given third preference. Concerned state is Madhya Pradesh for WCL Pench area, WCL Kanhan area and WCL Pathakhera area establishments. Concerned state is Maharashtra for other establishments

The provisional selection shall be made from down the merit list prepared by each establishment based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination i.e., relevant ITI examination / Educational Qualification. Date of birth will be taken as tie breaker in case of tie on percentage of marks. The older in age candidate will be placed higher in seniority in the merit list. If the tie does not break even in the manner the decision of the selection committee for breaking the tie shall be final and binding. CGPA shall be converted into percentage as per the norms of the concerned Educational Board.

The eligible candidate shall be called for document verification at concerned establishment office. The date, time and venue for document verification shall be intimated to the eligible candidates accordingly through the WCL website notice or by registered E-mail address of the candidate. The candidates would be required to furnish original document and submit self-attested true copies & soft copies thereof.

Final selection of the candidates in each seat shall be made after verification of documents. Shortlisted candidates merely attending the document verification process does not entitle selection of his candidature as Apprentice with establishment. 

After verification of documents and obtaining medical fitness certificate, the candidates shall be selected for apprenticeship training. Apprentice engagement order shall be issued.

APPLICATION PROCESS:–

a) Candidate should have registered first at the official portal of Trade Apprenticeship. Details of Candidate should be available at the portal www.apprenticeship india.org. Candidate’s apprenticeship registration number is mandatory before filling on line application form at WCL and the profile status should be hundred percent filled.

b) Candidates should apply on-line through official website (www.westerncoal.in) of Western Coalfields Limited for the establishment in which he/she would like to apply. Before filling on-line application forms, candidate should have read thoroughly and carefully the Notification and prepare with the recent colored Photograph of passport size and signature in jpg format only. 

c) Candidates can apply in any one Establishment and for one trade only. 

d) Applications shall not be accepted in any other mode except online application at official web portal of WCL.
