ASC Center South 2 ATC : Eligibility Details
Tin Smith :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
- Should be proficient in trade work
EBR :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
- Should be able to carry out all canvas/ textile and leather repair and also replacement of equipment’s and boots.
- Should be proficient in trade work
Barber :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
- Conversant with duties of respective trade with one year experience.
Camp Guard :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
MTS (Mali / Gardener) :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
MTS (Messenger / Reno Operator) :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
- Conversant with duties of respective trade with one year experience.
MTS (Chowkidar) :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
Should be proficient in trade work.
Station Officer :
- 12th standard pass from a recognized board.
- Senior Fire Supervisor Course from Defence Institute of Fire Research Ministry of Defence, New Delhi or the Sub Officers Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other similar recognized course.
- Must have served in a recognized civil or Defence Fire Brigades in a supervisory capacity for a minimum period of three years.
Fireman :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
- Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fittings and fire appliances and equipment’s fire engines, trailer, pumps, foam branches.
- Must be familiar with the use and maintenance of first-aid fire fighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump.
Fire Engine Driver :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
- Must have at least three years’ experience of driving heavy vehicles and be in possession of valid driving license.
Fire Fitter :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
Civilian Catering Instructor :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
- Diploma or Certificate in catering from any recognized institution.
Desirable to have one year working experience in catering as instructor.
Cleaner :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
Cook :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized board.
- Must have knowledge of Indian Cooking and Proficiency in trade.
- Desirable to have one year experience in trade.
Civilian Motor Driver :
- Matriculation or equivalent from recognized Institution.
- Must possess valid driving license for both heavy and light motor vehicles.
- Should have at least two years’ experience in driving motor vehicles.

ASC Center South 2 ATC : Physical Standards & Endurance Test
Fire Engine Driver & Fireman :
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the physical fitness test as under:-
- Height without shoes: 165 cms: provided that a concession of 2.5 cms in height shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes.
- Chest: 81.5 cms – 85 cms and Weight : 50 kgs (minimum)
- Endurance Test (Skill Test):
- Carrying a man (fireman lift of 65.5 kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds)
- Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet (Long jumps)
- Climbing 3 meters vertical rope using hands and feet.
ASC Center South 2 ATC : Selection Process
- The selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit.
- The selection process will comprise of Skill / Physical / Practical test and written test, wherever necessary.
- Written examination and Skill/Physical/ Practical tests, scheduled to be conducted in ASC Centre (South) / (North) Bangalore (Karnataka) Only.
- The question papers of Written Test will be bilingual i.e English & Hindi.
- There will be provision of negative marking (0.25 marks for each wrong answer) in written test for incorrect answers.
