Age Limit

Age as on September 30, 2021

Class 6	10 Years to 12 years i.e. date of birth will not be before 30.09.2009 and after 30.09.2011.
Class 9	13 Years to 15 years  i.e. date of birth will not be before 30.09.2006 and after 30.09.2008.
Class 11	18 Years maximum i.e. date of birth will not be before 30.09.2003.

Exam Dates

• Date of issuing of ONLINE Admit Card: May 05,2021 onwards till examination date.
• Dates of Entrance Test:

1. Class VI: June 14,2021 (Monday) (8 AM to 10 AM)
2. Class IX: June 15,2021 (Tuesday) (8 AM to 10 AM)
3. Class XI Arts & Commerce: June 16,2021 (Wednesday) (8 AM to 10 AM)
4. Class XI Biology: June 17, 2021 (Thursday) (8 AM to 10 AM)
5. Class XI Maths: June 18, 2021 (Friday) (8 AM to 10 AM)

• Provisional Answer key will be uploaded to enable
• candidates challenge questions on: June 25,2021
• Candidates can register their challenge by: 8 PM June 27, 2021
• Final Answer key will be uploaded on: June 30,2021
• Date of SET-2021 result declaration: July 10,2021
• Dates of counselling/ Admission for external candidates:

1. Class VI: July 22, 2021 (Thursday) (8 AM to 12 Noon)
2. Class IX: July 23, 2021 (Friday) (8 AM to 12 Noon)
3. Class XI Mathematics: July 24, 2021 (Saturday) (8 AM to 12 Noon)
4. Class XI Biology: July 26, 2021 (Monday) (8 AM to 12 Noon)
5. Class XI Arts & Commerce: July 27, 2021(Tuesday) (8 AM to 12 Noon) (in CHBS only)
6. Class XI Commerce (in CHGS only): July 27, 2021(Tuesday) (8 AM to 12 Noon)
7. Class XI Arts (in CHGS only): July 28, 2021 (Wednesday) (8 AM to 12 Noon)
8. Class XI Paid Seats (in CHBS only): July 28, 2021 (Wednesday) (8 AM to 12 Noon)

Note: Process of selection in various classes may be changed under unavoidable circumstances. The decision of Banaras Hindu University Authorities (School Board) BHU shall be final in this regard.

Eligibility Requirements

Class 6	Passed class V examination from a school
Class 9	passed class VIII examination from a school
Class 11	passed class X examination from a recognized Board/University. “The Required Percentage as Under Noted”.

For external candidates (coming through SET):

1. 60% marks and above in class X or equivalent grade in aggregate for admission in Science Stream. 50% marks and above or equivalent grade is essential in each, Math’s and Science.
2. 55% marks and above in class X or equivalent grade in aggregate for commerce.
3. Class X passed for Arts stream.

In addition to the above a candidate (excluding SC/ST/OH) shall be eligible for admission to the above classes only if he/she gets a minimum of 33% in the School Entrance Test in which he/she is appearing. These criteria will also apply in case of the sons and daughters of the BHU employees and candidates belonging to SC/ST/Physically Challenged (OH) will be eligible for admission on securing 25% in aggregate
