About- BHU SET Class 9th and 11th Admission Form 2024
The Banaras Hindu University is going to take admission for the session 2024-25 for girls and boys in classes IX and XI in the Central Hindu Girls’ School and Central Hindu Boys’ School through a common entrance test.
Important Date:
- Apply Start Date: 20-02-2024
- Apply Last Date: 20-03-2024
- Correcting: 21-03-2024 to 27-03-2024
- Admit Card Issue Date: 11-04-2024
Application Fee:
- For SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 550/-
- For Other State: Rs. 800/-
- Payment Mode: Online
Age Limit as on 31/03/2024
- For Class 9th: 13 to 15 Years
- For Class 11th: 18 Years Maximum
- Age relaxation applicable as per notification.
Eligibility Criteria for BHU SET Class 9th and 11th Admission Form 2024
For Class 9th:
- 13 Years to 15 years of age as on 31.03.2024 i.e. date of birth should not be before 31.03.2009 and after 31.03.2011 and have passed class VIII examination from a recognised school.
For Class 11th:
- 18 Years of maximum age as on 31.03.2024 i.e. date of birth should not be before 31.03.2006 and have passed class X examination from a recognized Board/University with the required percentage of marks/grades as under noted:
For external candidates (coming through SET):
- 60% marks or equivalent grades and above in class X in aggregate for admission in Maths & Biology Stream. Further 50% marks or equivalent grade and above is essential in each subject of Maths and Science.
- 55% marks or equivalent grades and above in class X in aggregate for Commerce Stream.
- Class X passed for Arts stream.
BHU School Entrance Test (SET) Syllabus
For Class 9th:
- The Question Paper will be upto class VIII standard comprising 100 MCQs of subjects English, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science and Science.
For Class 11th:
The Question Paper will be upto class X standard comprising 100 MCQs of subjects-
- Maths Group: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Gen. Studies.
- Bio Group: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Gen. Studies.
- Arts Group: English, Hindi, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Maths and Gen. Studies.
- Commerce Group: English, Hindi, Economics, Maths and Gen. Studies.
Selection Process of BHU SET Class 9th and 11th Admission Form 2024
On the basis of the marks obtained in the Entrance Test a Merit List will be drawn for admission in each class and a candidate will be given a seat in the concerned class strictly on the basis of the merit. In case of a tie the Banaras Hindu University Guidelines will be followed.
How to Apply Online for BHU SET Class 9th and 11th Admission Form 2024?
The Application Form for SET-2024 is available on the BHU’s Entrance Test Portal (www.bhuonline.in). The Application Form is to be filled up and submitted online. Detailed instruction for filling up the application form, online payment of application fee and online submission is also provided on the BHU’s Entrance Test Portal. Candidates have to scan their Signature, Photo and Parent’s Signature as per instruction given in the Portal and upload it.
After the candidate has filled up the application form online and clicks on the “CONFIRM” button, he/she will be provided with following options for payment of Application Processing/Entrance Test Fee:
- Online payment through credit card/ debit card through the payment gateway available on the Entrance test portal.
- After successful payment of Entrance Test Fee, a candidate shall be able to take the printout of the ONLINE filled in Application Form. The candidate is required to retain it for his/her record.
NOTE: The SET-2024 Application Form shall be treated to have been successfully submitted only after the candidate has paid the Application Processing Fee/ Entrance Test Fee through either of the two modes given above. After online submission of Application Form and successful payment of Application Processing/ Test Fee, candidates are advised to take a printout of the online filled up application form (containing the details he/she has filled in and the transaction details of payment of application fee) from either the Entrance Test portal or his e-mail
account for their own record.
