PPSC Senior Assistant : Eligibility Details
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or Institution; and
- Qualifies in the competitive test specified by the appointing authority from time to time; and
- Possesses at least One Hundred and twenty hours course with hands on experience in the use of Personal Computer or Information Technology in Office Productivity applications or Desktop Publishing application OR
- Possesses a Computer Information Technology course equivalent to ‘O’ level certificate of DOEACC
- Should have passed Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.
PPSC Senior Assistant : Selection Process
- Written Exam (480 Marks)
- Interview (60 Marks)
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
PPSC Senior Assistant : Exam Pattern
- The examination is a pen and paper-based, to be answered on the specially designed machine gradable OMR sheet using ball point pen.
- The pattern for written competitive examination comprising of 120 questions @ 4 marks for each question.
- There will be negative marking i.e. 1 Mark
- The Exam will be of two (02) hours duration.

- General Knowledge and Current affairs of National and International importance including:
- Economic issues
- Polity issues
- Environment issues
- Science and Technology
- Any other current issues
- History of India with special reference to Indian freedom struggle movement
- History of Punjab- 14th century onwards
General Mental Ability, Logical Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude:
- Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Mental Ability
- Basic numerical skills, numbers, magnitudes, percentage, numerical relation appreciation
- Data analysis, Graphic presentation charts, tables, spread-sheets
