The Staff Selection Commission will hold an Open Competitive Examination for recruitment of SubInspectors in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Departmental candidates amongst Constables, Head Constables and Assistant Sub-Inspectors of Delhi Police with minimum three years’ service and who shall not be more than 30 years (33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST) of age as on crucial date given at Para 5.1 may also apply for filling up of Open and Departmental Vacancies of Sub- Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police-Male. Delhi Police SI Eligibility Details 2024:
Essential Qualification
- The candidate must have passed Graduation form a Recognized University or equivalent.
- The candidate who have appeared in their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination can also apply.
- However they must possess essential qualification on or before the cur-off date.
Selection Process of Delhi Police SI Recruitment 2024:
The selection of the candidates will be complete on the basis of these tests –
- 1. Written Exam
- 2. Trade Test
- 3. Medical
- 4. Final Selection
- The examination will consist of
- Paper-I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET),
- Paper-II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
- All these stages of the examination are mandatory.

- Objective type multiple choice Questions.
- Online Computer Based Written Exam.
- There will be Negative marking of one-third of marks allotted to the question for each wrong answer in Paper- 1 and Paper- 2.
- The questions will be set both in Hindi and English.
Physical Endurance Test (PET):
Male Candidate:
- 100 metre race in 16 seconds
- 1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes
- Long Jump: 3.65 metre in 3 chance
- High Jump: 1.2 metre in 3 chance
- Shot Put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metre in 3 chance
Female Candidate:
- 100 metre race in 18 seconds
- 800 metre race in 4 minutes
- Long Jump: 3.7 metre in 3 chance
- High Jump: 0.9 metre in 3 chance
Physical Standard Test (PST):
Physical Measurement Test shall be taken only of those candidates, who qualify the Endurance Tests.
